My native place in Jharkhand...

I come from a place named Parasnath which is more popularly known as Jain Pilgrimage "Sikhar Ji". The place comes under Giridih district in Jharkhand and is located amidst hills of Parasnath, the highest mountain in Jharkhand and Bihar. The place is well connected to other parts of the country by roadways and railways. Most of the trains in Howrah-Delhi trains stop at Parasnath station which is again named after Jain Tirthankar Sri Parsvanatha. Grand Truck(G.T.) Road no. 2 is just one km from the station. The jainese pilgrimage "Sikhar Ji" is about 32km from Parasnath and there is very good commute facility available 24 hrs to and fro.

Nearest airports are Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi. Kolkata is well connected to most of the national and international airports and is recommended. One could also land at Delhi airport and take direct trains from there to Parasnath. From Kolkata/Patna/Ranchi, you need to catch a train to Parasnath (PNME). Please see here for details.
